Administration

Members and roles

Each person in your organization is an Admin or a Member. The account menu, at the foot of the sidebar, shows your role.

What only admins can do

  • create, rotate and revoke Mubit keys, under Mubit keys;
  • add, rotate and delete provider keys, under Provider keys;
  • import past calls, under Import past calls;
  • change Settings, in the project's sidebar under Set up. Settings shows there once training is on for your workspace;
  • rename the project.

What members can do

Members can do the rest. For example, they can read Requests, Tasks, Adapters and Settings, use Try models, and open Connect.

Where a page has an admin's action, a member sees a line in its place, such as Ask an admin of {org} for a key. Admins create, rotate and revoke keys. on Mubit keys, with your organization's name.

When a member tries an admin's action, the console says Only an admin of {org} can do this. On Settings, a member reads Only admins of {org} can change settings.

Add people, change a role or remove someone

The console has no controls to invite a person, change someone's role or remove a member. Not even an admin can make these changes in the console.

To make one of these changes, ask for help, as Get help shows.

Sign-out after inactivity

After 15 minutes without a key press, a click, a touch or a scroll in any of the console's tabs, the console signs you out. The sign-in screen then reads Signed out after 15 minutes without activity. Sign in again to go on.

The console remembers your last activity across page loads: opened again more than 15 minutes later, it signs you out at once.
